Hey Jon, damn you I shopped around and looked for a different brand, ok cheaper, I admit am at the age where I will look for the $2.00 special for breakfast. but damn I couldn't find a product as good any where, keep up the good work. The 05 I gave to my kid still has the original kit I bought from you a few years ago the boy is 21 and HARD on equipment but your vents are still hanging in there. I just ordered an upper and lower exhaust side for my XP I guess I should have got them when I got the clutch side.  Any way have a good year I hope the business is doing well cause there is not another product out there as well made as yours

Cheers

The happy canuck customer

JC's custom vents get my votes for a number of reasons
1. strong yet lightweight aluminum frame.....this creates a great skeletal frame as to help hold the structural integrity of the panel

2. fine, medium, or large mesh options.....different snow conditions in different parts of the country.....I've noticed that other brands are layering different meshes, the problem with layering is that it will restrict the amount of air flowing through, defeating the purpose of the
vents themselves...also if snow were to cheese grate through the larger mesh and pack onto the finer mesh u would again defeat this venting purpose

3.
customized vent designs....who doesn't want to customize their sled....i speak for myself but believe that it is in every riders blood to customize his/her machine.....what better way than a nice skull, some great honeycombs, and flames never hurt either!!!

I will personally go on record to say I have had
JCs Custom Vents on my past three sleds, the fit, finish and craftsmanship has been hands down professionally built with nothing but the best material and quality a guy could ask for!!! I have never been dissatisfied with any of his products and he has been very helpful with any questions I have had. They have served their purpose and served it well eliminating so much of my belt heat without allowing the snow the cheese grate into my compartments.

Thanks JC for all the hard work and effort put into the R&D of a exceptional product that works so well and has consistently been the number one thing I get for every machine I buy.

JC's Custom Vents all the way....the thing I like the best; strength!

I have the upper and lower honeycomb
Vents on both sides of an '08 and a 2010. We rides trees a lot!

Tree wells are an occupational hazard and I am convinced that with other
Vents the side panels would have been toast long ago.

The rivets/washers that are supplied are steel not aluminum and are the mainstay of the strength.

JC's
Vents all the way.....a bonus is dealing with a great guy and a DooTalk supporter!!

I have JC's vents on mine, you can get the one by your shock tower and the one on the lower rear part of your panel and you won't see them that much. I have the 2 big one's on my panel also, and last year we had a gun that tells the temp when you point it at whatever, and my belt was 60 Deg cooler than one of our guys who don't have any vents at all.

Your designs are the best on the market. Congratulations Jon (Quote from Dootalk by Xp08)

We also used JCS Custom vents on both sleds. The front vents still let the air in but keep the snow out. We ran these to keep snow from getting under the hood and pipe to keep the extra weight out. These worked well in the sections that had allot of snow. Also used them on the exhaust and clutch sides to help keep everything cool. I'm sure the clutch side vents had allot to do with being able to run the same belt for 1,500 miles without an issue. Definitely high quality vents that work.

I wanted to cover our front vents to keep the snow out but still let the air in.  Jon a JC’s Custom Vents set us up with his really high quality breathable vent covers.  They are Water Jet cut aluminum frames with durable mesh.  You can also add Pre filter to let the air still come in but keep the water out.  I added extra vents by the knees to let more heat out.

I tried a couple of different ways to cut the openings but found that a sharp razor knife works the best if you use a heat gun or your wife’s blow dryer to warm up the plastic.  It will cut almost as easy as butter.

The side panel vents couldn't have worked better!!
I am so friggin' happy with them and the service you provided, words can't begin to explain! My buddy Brian and I ran steep and deep all day yesterday and I ran these things through the paces. (Hillcilmb after hillclimb, laying it over in the POW and just basically beating the snot out of my Rev!) Clutches ran cool all day with 0 (ZERO!!!) clutch fading all day! My sled ran consistent climb after climb and absolutely no, (zip, zero, nada) pow came through those vents. Even boondocking through pine and aspen branches didn't phase these things!  These vents were the best investment I have made to save my belts, before i did the vent mods, i could fry an egg on my clutches (yes they were that hot) but now with the vents there cool to the touch its amazing the difference they have made, I highly recommend them to anyone!!! Idahodoo's vents are top quality, I have the hood vent, and getting the side vents ASAP!!! Not only do they look great, the function of these things are amazing, we rode in 3' of fluffy pow, the vent did not let any snow through and never plugged off!! All i can say is Awesome, cant wait to get the other two side panels on!!! (Quote from Dootalk by Taylor123)

I cant stress enough how much better my sled runs with them on. I have NO cooling issues with my clutches or exhausts. Riding here is not that cold to begin with, so after riding around with the stock hoods and panels, I found that not only were my clutches overheating and I was blowing belts regularly, but random plastic components inside the engine compartment would melt. Once, I melted my coolant tank and all my antifeeze was spraying out all the way home.. Since installing the vents I have no issues with cooling, my clutches are cool to the touch all the time. Hey Idahodoo--here are my vents I got from you last season...they worked awesome at getting the heat out plus they look cool...a wise investment!! (Quote from Dootalk by IBREV’N)

Tried out my new vents today in DEEP powder (it was coming over the hood) near golden, and they are amazing, everything stayed nice and cool and dead dry... I would recommend these vents to anyone, the local dealer was up with us testing clutches and he was also very impressed with the vents.

I have two days with the vents on in deep snow 3 feet fresh, I have crashed and rubbed on trees and so far the vents are fine, yesterday there was 4 of us, 2 with the vents and 2 without, you could feel the difference with your hand, the 2 with vents were a lot cooler to the touch, not cold but not at all hot, more warm to the touch where the unvented sleds were HOT, you could barely touch the clutch after we played on a hill for a while. I am sold on these vents and I will put them on my next sled when I get one... (Quote from Dootalk by  fosser)

Idahodoo have I ever told you that (Your Vents Rock) (Quote from Dootalk by Summit SS)

I have had mine installed for a few weeks now. There is a lot less clutch heat! That is by using my extremely scientific method of riding for a while, then stopping and putting my hand on the clutch parts of my sled and my buddies who didn't have the vents yet. ( He Does now ) Thanks Idahodoo for a great product.  I also would like to say that we got excellent customer service. Three of us from Fairbanks/North Pole AK ordered together, 2 sets of black and I wanted yellow ones.Jon said the 2 black sets were ready and he'd do the yellow ones that night and get them in the mail. I got them 2 days later faster than promised and we didn't get the screwing on shipping to AK that all of us up here are used to,it was a great transaction. Then the vents fit great and look great and are working very well. If you hang out on Doo Talk you will get the picture that Doo people have extremely high standards and are very tuned in to customer service. Jon will take care of you. Thanks again. I received the side vents last week for my M1000 Cat and they fit perfect. they are better than the vents they sell locally. I would recommend your vents over the other brands.

Thanks Don  (Edmonton,Alberta)
